The Government of Andhra Pradesh have
launched Andhra Pradesh Rural Employment
Guarantee Scheme in thirteen districts
of AP on 2nd February 2006 and issued detailed guidelines for
implementation of the A.P. Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme vide reference (4) read above. The
scheme is notified in the official gazette of the State Government in the above reference (5) above.

above Government have issued orders on
valuation norms for earthwork
excavations to be taken up manually under
National Food For Work Programme and Food Assurance Programme.

Vide reference (1) above, a
Technical Committee comprising of Sri R. Kondal Rao, Engineer-in-Chief, Panchayat
Raj (Retd), Engineer-in-Chief, Minor Irrigation, representative of Principal
Chief Conservator of Forests, Director, Ground Water, representative of R&B
Department as members under the Chairmanship of Sri T. Hanumantha Rao,
Engineer-in-Chief (Rtd.,) was constituted to recommend the rates for all manual
works taken up under NFFWP, such a way that each worker gets wage payable to
the workers based on outturn per day equivalent to minimum wage.

As required in National Rural
Employment Guarantee Act vide Clause 7 of Schedule I, it is mandatory to fix
the rates for tasks to be taken up under this Scheme to enable the labour to
get minimum wage. Andhra Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme notified in
the reference (2) cited above fixed the minimum wage at Rs. 80/- per day.
5. The Commissioner, RD has submitted that
he has taken up 158 works for collection of data for Work Time Motion Studies
with technical support from Engineering Staff College of India, to evolve the
rates for Rural SSR for the works to be taken up under APREGS.
6. The Technical Committee has reviewed
the observed data collected from Work Time
Motion Studies in 8 NFFWP Districts. After
detailed review of observed data, the Technical Committee submitted recommendations
of schedule of rates for works under APREGS.

common SSR of Engineering Department.. The rates of other items pertaining to
tree plantation, nurseries, forestry shall be taken from Forest Department
