Input strategy in piloting

The objective of piloting the Andhra Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (APREGS)  is to test the field level processes and the relevant formats developed. Apart from the common initiatives and inputs in all the villages it was also decided to categorize all the inputs in to three levels and test them. According to the piloting strategy the inputs are categorized into;

  •  High Level of Inputs and Facilitation

  •  Average or Medium Level of Inputs and Facilitation

  • Low Level of Inputs and Facilitation

The common processes and strategic initiatives are being tested with these categorized inputs and the responses of the communities in each scenario is being assessed and accordingly the lessons would be crystallized.  This strategy helps to concentrate on the innovations as well as general stream of activities within piloting.

Operationalization of the pilot strategy :

I) Common processes in all the villages

  • Organizing Orientation Programs on APREGS for VO members, Sarpanches, secretaries and other public representatives

  • Organizing women group meetings

  • Organizing gramsabhas
