Intensification (SRI)

A set of
2 flexi posters explain the preparatory steps and critical
processes involved in practicing SRI method which is being
considered as an alternative in paddy cultivation. While one
poster narrates soil preparation, the other explain the
nursery bed preparation. Published as part of WWW-Dialogue
Project.

Pesticidal Management (NPM)
NPM
General Orientation 
A set of
these posters provide basic orientation on NPM. They
include the ill effects of pesticides, Pest and
its Life cycle, NPM methods and Natural predators.
Preparation of Concoctions
A set of
these 4 posters explain the preparation of different
concoctions. They include Neem solution (Vepa kashayam), Cow
dung and cow Urine solution (Peda, Mutram) , Chilli and
Garlic solution (Mirchi - Vellulli dravanam and NPV Virus
solution )
Redgram

A
set of 4 posters is developed for NPM in Redgram.
These posters explain the pests that infect the redgram crop
in different stages and provide an awareness on NPM methods
to control them. The life cycles of
of Heliothis, Maruka, Blue butterfly & Pod fly apart from
some minor pests are covered .
Castor
This set
consists of 6 posters each explaining a distinct pest that
affect castor. Their life cycles and control methods at
various stages are explained
Paddy
This set of 6 posters on Paddy explain about the pests that
include Kandam tholiche purugu, Aaku mudatha purugu,
Ulli Kodu, Thataku Thegulu, Sudi Doma, Paccha Doma -and
Deepapu purugulu etc.
Application of NPM methods according to the pest and crop
stages is explained in the posters.
Groundnut
This set of posters explain about different pests, their
life cycles and appropriate NPM methods with regard to, the
groundnut.

Andhra
Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (APREGS)

A set of
15 flip charts developed for orientation and training and
purpose. Each chart explains about a particular process
element in the Employment Guarantee Scheme beginning from
the objectives to end with the social audit. Developed
in association with Commissionerate Rural Development (CRD),
and Directorate of EGS, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Poster
series on Gender
This set
consists of 15 posters which project various
dimensions regarding gender issues. These explain the
household food security, maternal diseases and need for
nutritious food, significance of registration of deaths
and births, eve teasing and women trafficking, traditional
mis-beliefs and its ill effects, women organizing into
groups, girl child education, Illicit liquor and its ill
effects, division of domestic labour, woman empowerment and
their control on natural resources, problems with child
marriages, atrocities and violence against women in
different places. While reflecting on these issues, they
also project some solutions. Conceptualized and
developed for Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty
(SERP) which has used these posters extensively in
delivering gender trainings across the state.

This
set consists of 10 posters on CLDP, primarily intended
for facilitating trainings. They provide orientation on the
objectives of the program, works to be taken up and
also guide in
planning process.

Poster series on WDF concept and processes for NABARD
This
series consists of 7 posters on different themes explaining
the critical elements in WDF programme of NABARD. These
posters explains the watershed objectives and its processes
broadly highlighting the shramadan,. choice of works,
social regulation and rights and responsibilities of
different stakeholders. Developed in association with
NABARD. A useful communication material for the PIAs and
watershed community.

Highlight the key issues regarding the Watershed
Process in line with its stated philosophy and practices.
Objective is to spread awareness on what is provided in,
what is going on and what is to be achieved in a watershed
programme and provoke the poor and other stakeholders to
raise their voice over the contentious issues and make the
programme into a process driven approach.

options to people either directly or indirectly. In
that context, uncovered aspects are to be brought into fore
so as to give a holistic approach to the programme. An
attempt is made is put this into practice through a theme
poster on Livestock in Watershed programme. This
poster encompasses the critical issues and key aspects to
focus on Livestock in Watershed activities. Intended
objective is to inform and enable the stakeholders to speak
on these relevant issues and make them part of the main
process. Developed and Published with support of CWS
and AEI, Luxemburg.

A Series of
posters on Jala Chaitanyam
Water
is a precious resource. And it is getting scarce day by day.
All of us are aware about this alarming situation but still
there is lot of indifference on our part. Increased
awareness can only bring about some change in our attitude
to preserve this precious resource. Lot of efforts are going
on that front both at government and NGO level. As part of
the massive campaign, a poster series was developed for the
state government of Andhra Pradesh. Commissionerate of
Rural Development (CRD) published these posters. One poster
emphasizes the critical concerns and positive action on part
of the people. Other posters delve into the indifference and
initiatives based upon the people’s experiences. These
posters were extensively used through out the state as part
of the ‘Jala Chaitanyam’ programme.

Products and Processes in Watershed Development
'Vaikunta
pali' is a local popular game in rural areas. While the
snakes in this game depict the 'downfall', the ladders
facilitate one to climb up. Critical products and
processes in the watershed development program are depicted
as snakes and ladders in this tool. When this is
played, one would be oriented on the importance of
processes watershed development. program. A useful training
and facilitative toll in capacity building and planning
exercises. Developed during the national level
process study undertaken in 7 states to assess and
understand the processes in watershed development program in
the country. Published with the support from Indo Canada
Environment Facility (ICEF)
Gender issues in Watersheds -->
This
tool is developed to orient on the criticality of gender
issues in watershed development program. A useful
training and facilitative toll in capacity building and
planning exercises Widely used in trainings related to
integrating gender issues in watershed development program.
