WASSAN, a national level resource support organisations, is promoting community centric development policies and programs for natural resource management and rainfed agriculture, through various networks.
WASSAN is functioning as resource organisation Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming and Programme Secretariat for Integrated Farming, Odisha Millets Mission, Jharkhand High Impact Mega Watershed and other major development projects. WASSAN is collaborating with large number of NGO partners, think tanks, foreign universities and state government departments. WASSAN is initiating work on Agro biodiversity in Odisha with focus on Agrobiodiversity registers strengthening biodiversity management committees, preparation and documentation of traditional Knowledge, etc.

The Program Officer / Livelihood Expert is –
Desired Candidate Profile
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science or Veterinary Science or Master’s Degree in Agriculture Science or Veterinary Science or Economics, Rural Development or Social Work with good writing and communication skills in English.
Candidate must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in implementing integrated farming system project. Experience of working with FPOs or with animal husbandry would be an advantage.
Candidate must have experience of working with NGOs and Government officials.
Candidate should be self-driven in bringing in new ideas.
Candidate must be well versed with MS Office; knowledge of Gantt charts, indicator preparation, and basic knowledge in budgeting and accounts will be an additional advantage.
Candidate will be stationed in Chitrakonda, Malkanagiri and has to travel extensively for field visits and will be travelling inside and outside Odisha as per programme requirements.
Languages

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Odia is a must. Working knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.

Purpose of Job:

WASSAN is now seeking an HR Officer with strong generalist experience. This is a full-time position to be based in Bhubaneswar. Responsibilities include recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, talent management, support to finance team and oversight of HR initiatives.
